1 | 3 steps to a color-coded calendar

Be still, my middle-school heart... this is the adult equivalent of getting a new binder! Color-coding your work calendar will help you understand your day at a glance, time-batch your tasks, and stay focused. Both Outlook and Gmail make it a breeze to do. And - bonus! - science backs it up: color-coding doesn't just look good, it's a brain-boosting win.

3 |  Unmasking imposter syndrome: 15 ways to overcome it at work

Self-doubt about your work accomplishments... Feeling like a phony at your job... Guess what - you're not alone! Nearly two-thirds of workers report those sneaky feelings of imposter syndrome at some point! It's okay, it's natural, and there's actually a lot you can do about it.

"One thing that’s helped a lot is shifting my language. Instead of using passive, helper language - like ‘I helped,’ ‘I supported,’ and ‘I coordinated’ - I use stronger, more confident language - like ‘I led,’ ‘I collaborated,’ or ‘I partnered.’” 🙌

4 | Navigating political talk in the workplace: a balanced approach

It's election week in the US! And like it or not, politics will pop up at work. Some companies try to ban it altogether, but that's a bit much, right? Here's a better approach:

  1. Let your (company) values be your guide when setting expectations
  2. Know your audience and base decisions on experiences with them
  3. Set clear boundaries about what's fair game and what's not
  4. Set the tone at the top: people will follow what leadership does
